AI subscription usage limits compared: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Cursor and more

Reddit threads about AI subscriptions are full of one question: what do I actually get for $20, $100 or $200 a month before the tool stops? Vendors rarely answer with a number. This page quotes what each vendor publishes about usage caps, plan by plan, with the date we checked. Where a vendor gives only a multiplier such as "5x more than Pro" or no figure at all, the table says so instead of guessing.

How to read this page

Each row is one plan as sold on the vendor's US pricing page or help center. "Published limits" repeats the vendor's own wording. A plan marked "Not stated" has no published cap on the pages we read, which usually means the limit exists but is not disclosed.

Session windows, weekly windows and separate pools for chat and coding agents appear only when the vendor documents them. Prices are USD, before tax, and change often, so follow the source link before you pay.

Paying per token instead

If a flat plan keeps running out, the API has no session cap: you pay per token with no monthly fee. Whether that is cheaper depends on how much you send.
