Choose Claude Code if you want an agent that edits multiple files and runs commands from the terminal, IDE, desktop or web and you already have, or will buy, a Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise plan.
Claude Code has no free tier. It is included in paid Claude subscriptions (Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise), or you can use it through the Anthropic Console, where it is billed per token through the API. On subscriptions, usage is capped by plan limits rather than metered per request.
The entry paid plan is Pro at $20 per month billed monthly, or $17 per month with the annual discount ($200 billed up front).
