Our take: Nativ suits Mac users on Apple Silicon who want to run open models locally with chat, telemetry and a local endpoint for coding agents, free and open source under MIT.
Main limitation: It needs Apple Silicon (M1 or later) on macOS and model downloads run to many gigabytes; there is no official pricing page.

Nativ is an MIT-licensed macOS app that downloads and runs open language, vision, video, code and audio models locally on Apple Silicon, built on MLX-VLM. It includes a chat interface with streaming and live performance telemetry.
It can also expose a local model endpoint that coding agents such as Codex and Claude Code connect to. The site states no accounts, subscriptions or cloud are needed.
