What is Zinc, and how does it work?

Zinc is an API covering the online purchasing lifecycle: product discovery with live retailer data, order placement, shipment tracking and returns across retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Etsy and Shopify stores. You send a product URL, an address and a price cap; Zinc handles checkout and returns an order ID. It has a dedicated setup for AI agents, including an MCP server, agent sandbox with test keys, and machine payments via x402/MPP (USDC on Solana, Base or Tempo, or fiat via Stripe). Purchases are funded from a prefunded Zinc Wallet managed in the web dashboard.
