YuE2 is an open music generation model from the M-A-P research group that unifies symbolic and audio music generation. It first writes an editable score through symbolic planning, then renders the composition with vocals and accompaniment; the official page claims song quality competitive with Suno v5/v6 on its WildSongBench benchmark. The model (about 3.58B parameters) supports creating songs from lyrics and a style prompt, covering existing songs and agentic editing. Weights are published on Hugging Face under CC BY-NC 4.0, and a free hosted trial is run by a third party, NOIZ. It is a research release rather than a commercial product.
