kubbi: Pricing, Features & Best Use Cases

Claim-check API for agent handoffs: store a payload encrypted with a TTL and pass only a claim URL through queues, webhooks or MCP.

Who kubbi fits

kubbi suits developers building multi-agent systems who want payloads kept out of queues and logs by passing only an expiring, encrypted claim URL. Based on the vendor's documentation, not on a hands-on test.

Best for: Agent developers

Also a good fit for

  • Teams building multi-agent pipelines

Consider another tool if free tier: 20 kubbis/day, 5 active, 2-hour max TTL

Or if

  • Free payload limit 16 KB, 3 files per kubbi
  • Free rate limit 20 requests/min

Not stated

What is kubbi, and how does it work?

kubbi is a developer service that holds payloads for agent-to-agent handoffs so queues, webhooks, MCP tool results or A2A messages carry only a claim URL. Payloads are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM), expire by TTL and can be burn-after-read. It provides an API with TypeScript and Python SDKs and a manifest preview so consumers can inspect files before claiming. A free tier needs no credit card.

How to use kubbi for handing a payload between two agents with a claim URL

Set up kubbi

  1. Get a free API key at kubbi.ai (no credit card)
  2. Install the TypeScript or Python SDK, or add the MCP config
  3. Choose TTL and max retrievals for the handoff

Example: handing a payload between two agents with a claim URL

  1. Producer sends the payload with kubbi_send
  2. Pass the returned claim URL through your queue or webhook
  3. Consumer inspects the manifest with kubbi_inspect
  4. Consumer claims it with kubbi_claim

Review and export the result

  1. Retrieve again after max retrievals and confirm it is burned
  2. Check the kubbi expires after its TTL
