AI prompt library: 418 prompts with their sources

Every prompt here has a receipt. Vendor prompts are copied word for word from the prompting guides of OpenAI, Anthropic and Google and link to the source section. Editorial prompts come from our own tool guides and are marked as untested examples. Variables you need to replace are shown as {variables}.

Browse by task (writing, coding, video, research, images, productivity, audio) or by tool. The hubs for ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini explain how each model responds to structure, examples and system messages, and which sample to start with.

What is in the library

418 prompts: 174 for writing, 91 for coding, 39 for video, 36 for research, 32 for images, 25 for productivity and 16 for audio, plus a few for business and education. 28 are vendor-published; the rest are editorial examples from tool guides.

Vendor prompts vs editorial examples

Vendor prompts are the ones the model makers published to show their recommended patterns: few-shot blocks, system messages, structured XML or Markdown prompts. Editorial prompts show how to ask a specific tool for a specific result and have not been benchmarked; treat them as starting points.

How to adapt a prompt

Replace the {variables}, keep the structure, and state the output format at the end. If the result drifts, add one example of the exact format rather than more instructions. The per-tool hubs list model-specific notes.
