What is Apodex, and how does it work?

Apodex is a web-based AI research tool positioned as "AI for Discovery". Users submit an inquiry and Apodex works through it step by step, verifying each conclusion before moving on, then returns a report with citations rather than a conversational answer. Signed-in users get a step-level reasoning trace, saved inquiries, full-text search across threads and the ability to branch off any report. Billing is credit-based: credit consumption varies with model token usage and tool invocations per request, purchased via Stripe. A separate API Platform (platform.apodex.ai) exists for developers, and the company publishes code and models on GitHub and Hugging Face.
