AgentsKit.js is a free, MIT-licensed library, which is also the source of its limits: it is code you write, not a hosted product. You need JavaScript or TypeScript skills, your own model provider keys and your own infrastructure, and model usage costs are separate. We saw no pricing page and no stated platform support. Prices checked on 2026-09-29.
If what you really want is AI help while coding rather than a toolkit for building agents, Cursor's Individual (Pro) plan is $20 per month and GitHub Copilot's Copilot Pro is $10 per user per month. Both have free tiers. They are subscriptions with the model usage bundled in, so the cost is more predictable than paying a provider directly.
"Better suited" below is based on documented features and pricing from our verified profiles, not on a head-to-head test. Prices are USD as published by each vendor.
Taken from the documented limitations in our AgentsKit.js profile.
| Tool | Starting price | Free tier | Platforms | Main limitation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AgentsKit.js (this page) | Not published | Yes | — | It is a code library with no hosted product, so you supply your own model keys and infrastructure. |
| Cursor | From $20/mo (Individual (Pro)) | Yes | Desktop | Hobby has only limited Agent requests, and usage beyond the included amount is billed on demand. |
| GitHub Copilot | $10/mo (Copilot Pro) | Yes | Web, Desktop, Mobile | Chat, agents, code review and CLI all draw from a monthly GitHub AI Credits allowance that varies by model and task, so heavy agent use can exhaust a plan mid-month and require paid extra usage or an upgrade. |
