The common complaints about Carly are about metering. Usage is credit-based, Personal includes 200 credits a month and extra credits cost from $30 a month, the Free plan stops at 10 workflows, and Organization is billed at $35 per seat.
Four alternatives in our catalog take different approaches. Zapier is workflow automation with a free tier and a Professional plan at $19.99 per month for 750 tasks, with multi-step Zaps and webhooks. Make is similar but cheaper to enter: Core is $9 per month for 10k credits, with unlimited active scenarios. Microsoft Copilot sits inside Office: Microsoft 365 Personal is $9.99 per month for one person, with Copilot in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. ChatGPT has a free tier and Plus at $20 per month, with scheduled tasks and custom GPTs. None of these is described as an assistant you CC on email threads, so they replace parts of Carly rather than all of it.
